Robert M. Hall pushes interactive software development in unique directions. With over 25 years of experience in high tech and software development, along with 13+ years working with Flash and the Flash Platform, his award winning projects have run the gamut, ranging from integrating Flash into next generation ATM machines, millimeter wave body scanners, self-service coin-counters, museum exhibits, specialty kiosks, live audio and video delivery, and secure web & wireless banking applications.
Robert is currently an independent contractor with extensive experience in on demand and live online audio and video delivery both via Flash and Flash Media Server as well as the latest HTML5 standards. Having leveraged Flash in multiple interactive exhibits and kiosks for experiential destinations, such as museums, interpretive centers and other venues his expertise is highly sought. With a passion and interest for all things mobile, he also explores human-computer interaction and software development for modern mobile devices such as Apple iOS and Android platforms, with mobile development experience going back to Palm, Apple Newton, Pocket PC’s and previous generation devices.
Robert has contributed to six books on Macromedia Adobe Flash design and development and several articles for online publications including Macromedia’s Abobe’s DevNet. He has been a presenter at FlashForward in NY in 2001 and 2004, Macromedia MAX 2005 in Anaheim, CA and Adobe MAX 2006 in Las Vegas. Robert also presents and speaks regularly about Flash in his role as the manager of the Philadelphia Flash Platform Adobe User Group – http://www.pfpaug.org/ as well as assisting with the local Philadelphia Flex User Group – http://phflex.org/ and is quite active in the community as an official Adobe Community Expert and Adobe Influencer.
